Training for Trainers on Designing Educational Programmes

Non-formal Learning Integrator

This badge recognises the badge earner’s understanding of the core principles and values of non-formal learning in the context of youth work training.
Through the activity, the badge earner explored how non-formal learning takes place through intentional, structured, yet flexible educational processes outside formal institutional settings. The badge earner engaged with key principles that guide non-formal learning practice, including active and self-directed participation, experiential learning, group-oriented learning, holistic learning, value-based learning, learner-centred approaches, and voluntary participation.

To get a badge, a person needs to share personal insights on ways to integrate a specific NFL principle into training design.

Activity content and badge issuing criteria are aligned with the European Training Strategy (ETS) competence model for trainers to work internationally.
