  • Create local connections: Help young people build networks with small and large associations by connecting them to various projects and opportunities.
  • Organise events: Partner with local organisations, both small and large, to organise meetings, events, or activities that involve young people in discussions, enabling them to share their perspectives and brainstorm ideas for environmental protection.
  • Adopt an environmentally friendly lifestyle: By making small, intentional changes to daily habits, individuals can reduce their carbon footprint while demonstrating their commitment to sustainable living.

This activity will help you combine your physical and communication skills to organise an environmentally focused initiative.

By developing your network, drawing inspiration from other associations and past events, as well as brainstorming ideas on how to make an area of interest cleaner, now is the time to take action and create a collective and significant impact on society. While constructive ideas are crucial, a well-structured communication plan and agenda are essential to achieving the desired results.

First, get inspired!

Take a look at how young activists have managed to create change in society by launching their initiatives and collaborating with other individuals who share similar mindsets :

Now, take action!

Collaborating with peers who share your values will help you organise an action that can make an impact in your area. This activity—whether a campaign or an excursion related to the environment—aims to demonstrate the importance of sustainable methods and raise awareness about climate change within your community.

  • Find the type of activity you’d like to work on: Together with your team, decide which type of project you would like to lead. Once you’ve chosen the main activity, delegate tasks among your team members. Remember, for an activity to be successfully implemented, it requires proper organisation. Don’t hesitate to brainstorm ideas by researching websites or reaching out to potential networks for guidance.
  • Advertise your activity using communication methods and social media : Your activity needs to reach a wider audience. Even if the action is small, the purpose and reasoning behind it are significant. Therefore, it’s essential to inform people about your activity to encourage environmental awareness. If people express interest in joining, consult your team to determine whether this is feasible, and then engage them in your initiative.
  • Execute the activity effectively: Identify the best methods to carry out your chosen activity. Follow a strategic procedure and stick to a plan or schedule to ensure smooth management. Using a social media calendar can help keep smaller activities on track and aligned with the timeline.
